This morning, at Whittier Narrows, Explorer Class #111, with the assistance of Training Bureau’s Sgt. Zavala and Sgt. Esparza, dedicated their Colors Run to Deputy Alejandro Martinez Inzunza.

In November of 2022, Academy Class #464 was participating in a routine training run when struck by a wrong way driver. Of those injured that day was Deputy Martinez. Deputy Martinez passed on July 28, 2023. May his life and legacy live on forever.

Training Bureau, Professional Development Unit (PDU), overseen by Captain John E. Haynes, hosted a graduation for Class #24 of The Law Enforcement Leadership Development Institute Continuum Course (LELDI).

The LELDI Continuum is a 6 month program designed to stimulate personal leadership & ethical decision-making skills in law enforcement employees, and training to stimulate the growth of leadership within our department, counties, and state.

On Friday, September 13th, 2024, Academy Class #476 dedicated their colors run to Deputy Andrew Meyers. After a four-mile run, speeches were delivered by recruits, Captain Melvin M. Joseph, & a gifts were presented to Deputy Meyers’ family. May Deputy Meyers legacy and dedication live on forever.
