With AI tools becoming more widely available, some organizations are considering using them to create legal documents like Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives. But before you notarize one of these documents, here's what you should consider:

❌ AI is not an attorney. Legal documents require professional expertise, and relying on AI software as a substitute for a licensed attorney is strongly discouraged.

❌ AI-generated documents may not be legally binding. Just because software can produce a document doesn't mean it meets the legal requirements necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

❌ AI can be wrong. Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated legal documents could create serious, unforeseen legal consequences for your clients down the road.

💡 Our recommendation? Continue referring clients to a licensed attorney for the creation of legal documents. It protects your clients — and it protects you.

Scam alert 🚨

We’ve seen an uptick in texts from scammers impersonating PennDOT threatening the suspension of driving and vehicle registration privileges for not paying a fine via a link in the text message.

These messages are NOT from PennDOT; we urge anyone who receives one to delete it and avoid clicking any links.

PennDOT does not send texts about traffic violations or fines – we use mail sent via the U.S. Postal Service to communicate with customers.

Happy Sunday. Everyone sees the weather reports maybe a blizzard maybe not. IF we get a large amount of snow, we will be closed Monday to have time to plow the parking lot. Will keep you updated.

We are here today. Parking is limited. Handicap ramp is accessible from JT Auto Sales Parking lot. Steps to office door are available. Everything is still slippery. Call if you need Notary Services, we will help you inside if needed.

This is an update on hours for next week. IF we get the snow storm that is predicted for this weekend, we will be closed Monday, January 26th. I will post hours if needed for the rest of the week later. Here's to hoping this storm misses us but trying to prepare for the worst. Stay safe everyone.
