Today, Pratt & Tobin P.C.’s partners, Ben Tobin and Zach Tobin, were honored to have the opportunity to donate on behalf of Pratt & Tobin P.C. to the Madison County Fallen Officers Memorial Fund. The fund was established to raise money for a memorial site to be built near the entrance of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. The memorial site will dedicated to Madison County’s fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving Madison County, Illinois. Additionally, it will provide a place where our heroes can forever be memorialized and a place where their families, friends, and community can pay their respects. Be sure to check out the memorial site and Pratt & Tobin, P.C.’s granite stone after the memorial site is dedicated during the middle part of May next year!

Our client was hit by an underinsured motorist. Her auto insurance policy had a mandatory arbitration clause in it. Additionally, per the policy, she picked as an arbitrator, her insurance company picked an arbitrator, and then the two arbitrators picked a neutral arbitrator.

Today, our client and our managing partner, Ben Tobin, participated in the arbitration and received a unanimous $234,000 arbitration award! Prior to the binding arbitration, her insurance company only offered half of what the arbitration panel thought was fair and reasonable.
