When was the last time you looked at your estate plan?

Creating an estate plan is an important step—but it isn’t necessarily a “set it and forget it” decision.

Life keeps moving. Families grow. Relationships change. Property is bought and sold. Children become adults. The people you originally chose to make decisions for you may no longer be the people you would choose today.

That’s why significant life changes can be a good reason to pull your estate plan back out and ask: Does this still reflect my life and my wishes?

Meet Carly Ward, Attorney at Idaho Estate Planning.

Since joining our team in 2019, Carly has become an integral part of helping Idaho families navigate some of life’s most important—and sometimes complicated—decisions.

Her work includes long-term estate planning, asset protection, probate, Medicaid, and complex care and estate matters. But what truly stands out about Carly is her commitment to helping people understand their options.

That commitment extends well beyond the office.

Carly has been recognized for her pro bono work, volunteered on legislative reform, served on the board of Healthcare Share-Treasure Valley, and is a member of LEARN Idaho. She also spends time educating other professionals about estate planning, including Realtors and social workers who often help families through major life transitions.

For Carly, estate planning is about combining knowledge with compassion—helping families work through complicated questions and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

For more than 30 years, Mark has helped Idaho families navigate some of life’s most important decisions—how to care for the people they love, protect what they’ve built, and prepare for the future.
