DEL RIO, Texas — Local attorney and former Eagle Pass mayor Rolando Salinas Jr. was officially sworn in to practice in federal court on Tuesday during a ceremony held at the federal courthouse in Del Rio.

The oath was administered by U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew H. Watters, marking a significant milestone in Salinas’ legal career.

Salinas was introduced and sponsored by his law partner, Marco A. Salinas, a highly respected attorney not only in Eagle Pass but across South Texas, in what the judge described as one of the finest introductions he has ever heard.
