Good news for people with certain disabilities hoping for an expedited review of their benefits application. The Social Security Administration recently announced the expansion of the Compassionate Allowances list by adding 14 new conditions.

The Compassionate Allowances Initiative allows SSA to quickly and easily identify diseases and other medical conditions that meet SSA's standards for disability benefits by fast-tracking the approval process, which drastically reduces wait times. Among the 14 new conditions are Lafora Disease, Hepatosplenic T-Cell Lymphoma, Uveal Melanoma - with Metastases, and Primary Cardiac Sarcoma.

These additions to the list mean that many Americans can now access disability resources much faster, allowing them to have the support the need.

You paid for the coverage. That doesn’t mean getting your claim approved will be easy. Know your rights and don’t let an insurance company decide what your claim is worth!

Don’t Let Insurance Decide Your Claim’s Worth

Insurance companies collect premiums, but that doesn’t always mean they’ll make the claims process easy. Denied claims can create additional stress and, in some cases, delay necessary care. Understanding your rights and having someone in your corner can make a difference when an insurance company pushes back.
