I have been trained for many years on the issues facing families in crisis. I was a family law focused paralegal for almost 12 years before being sworn in to practice law. I was raised most of my life in Durham, NC and played softball at Northern Durham High School (Go Lady Knights!) for all 4 years of high school. I was a scorekeeper for baseball/softball and basketball for NJAA when I was in hig

h school. I currently live in North Durham with my husband, two kids, 4 dogs, 2 horses and a bunny. I am proud to say I am "all Durham". Disclaimer when working with an attorney: Sometimes you will hear things you don’t want to hear when meeting with an attorney or being represented by an attorney. It is our job to give you the good, bad and ugly. To be honest with you about your case. To tell you what position the other side is taking and why. These things are not shared with you as the client because we are taking the other persons side. We tell you these things to help you build the strongest case you can and/or correct the things that are issues.

If you are not able to accept these things, working with an attorney or even consulting with one might not work for you. That’s for you as the client to decide and manage. But as an attorney, that’s what I will do so you are as informed as you absolutely can be.
