Fact: A 1099 does not decide your rights. If your employer controls how, when, and where you work, you may have been misclassified and may still qualify for workers’ compensation benefits after a workplace injury.

Before focusing entirely on helping injured North Carolina workers, Jesse cut his teeth as a young lawyer defending insurance companies in workers’ comp cases.
