Before October ends, take a little time to set up November.

Add the family events you already know about. Review the people you meant to call. Check in with buyers and sellers who talked about moving this winter or early next year. Look at your current files and what support you’ll need as business grows.

A new month doesn’t create momentum on its own. The conversations and decisions you make now do.

What’s one thing you can do this week that your November self will thank you for?

**If your business doubles in 2027, what happens to your life?**

More clients bring more opportunity—and more deadlines, documents, and follow-up.

Before you set a bigger sales goal, ask yourself: Does my current way of working have room for it?

Growth needs a plan for who will handle the work.

You know what’s scarier than a Halloween ghost? 👻

Realizing a transaction deadline is coming up and you haven’t checked what’s still outstanding.

Earnest money. Inspections. Financing updates. Documents. Closing preparations. They all need a place on the calendar and someone following through.

I happen to love tracking those details. You enjoy the costumes and candy; I’ll keep an eye on the task list. 🎃

What transaction task has surprised you before?

I’ll say it: I love paperwork. I love a task list, a deadline, and knowing exactly what needs to happen next.

As a Transaction Coordinator, I help organize the file, track contract dates, follow up on documents, communicate with the parties, and keep the transaction moving from contract to closing.

While I’m working through those details, you have more time to meet clients, follow up with your sphere, and build your next opportunity.

What part of the transaction would you gladly hand over to someone who likes doing it? 📋

A little October calendar reminder: Monday, October 12 is a federal holiday.

If you have a transaction moving that week, check availability with the lender, title company, attorneys, and anyone else involved in your file. Plan your document requests and follow-ups early, and confirm what each party needs.

I’m task oriented, so looking ahead at dates like this is right in my wheelhouse. A quick check now can make the week easier for everyone.

What’s on your transaction calendar that week?

When you meet someone new, you don’t have to figure out how to bring up real estate. Try getting to know them instead.

FORD gives you four places a conversation can naturally go:

F — Family: Who’s important to them?
O — Occupation: What do they do?
R — Recreation: What do they enjoy?
D — Dreams: What are they looking forward to?

Ask, listen, and share a little about yourself. The goal is a connection, not a perfectly delivered pitch.

Which of these topics leads to your best conversations?

Fall sports are back, and the sidelines are full of people you might otherwise never meet.

Cheer for the kids. Ask another parent how their week is going. Learn a name. Have a conversation that has absolutely nothing to do with buying or selling a house.

You’re there for the game and for your family. You’re also part of a community. Over time, people come to know you through the way you show up—not through a sales pitch.

What fall activity brings you together with your community? ⚽🍁

This month, walk into a local restaurant or shop you’ve never visited. Order something. Talk to the people there. Ask how they got started.

The owner or the person standing beside you might eventually become part of your sphere of influence. But that doesn’t mean you need to introduce yourself with a real estate pitch.

Get to know people first. Let them get to know you. That’s how genuine relationships begin.

Agents, if you already have your family’s October and November schedules, put those dates on your calendar now.

The soccer games. The school events. Birthdays. Dinner together. Even the afternoon you simply want to be home.

When a client asks for an appointment, you’ll be looking at the whole picture and can offer a time that works. Your family shouldn’t have to wait to see what’s left of your schedule.

What’s the first family date you’re adding today? ❤️

Real estate doesn’t always stop on Friday afternoon. Sometimes a signature, an update, or a deadline needs attention over the weekend. Some of us Transaction Coordinators work weekends, too.

But support is also about making room for the life you’re building. Before October fills up, put your family plans, games, dinners, and time off on the calendar. Then you can see those commitments when a client asks for an appointment.

You can care deeply about your clients and make plans with your people. What’s one October event you want to protect?
