2024… you were both my best/most exciting year in real estate and also my hardest/most stressful year.

I struggled with what to post as my year in review, or if I should even post anything as I’ve been trying to step away from social media a lot recently. But I wanted to share not only my highs, but also my lows, so that other agents know it’s not all glitz and commission checks!

2024 brought me to a new company - Real - which is undeniably the best decision I have made in my career to date. I had never felt a sense of family in real estate before joining some of my friends (and bringing along others) at this amazing company. The support, camaraderie, and the “all are welcome at the table” atmosphere is unmatched, and I can’t wait to see how REAL will continue to push me and help my business thrive.

For the first time in my career, I hit my goal of 30 transactions (with 29 occurring after switching to REAL in Q2-Q4)! I also closed over $13million in volume in the worst year for real estate in YEARS, another career high and a 75% increase over 2023 🤩.

But there were definitely challenges along the road, and many times I felt like a failure. I only closed 1 transaction in Q1 and “lost” over $5million in sales. Some were blessings in disguise with clients I was better off with walking away from, some were just temporary holds that I will hopefully be able to work in the future, while others were definitely a gut punch and a lot of time and money lost. 😞

After launching a small team in 2023 and having two agents with me this year, I realized I started a team for the wrong reasons and without a plan. I debated the team for a while and like many others, thought it was the next progression of my career. But I learned through trial and error, that I didn’t want a traditional team. I liked being a mentor and friend to other agents but I did not want to “lead” anyone. So at the end of the year, I decided to transition the team to just a family business with the help of my husband and boys!

With all the ups and downs of 2024 and the changes it brought with it, I’m rolling into 2025 with anticipation, motivation, and focus.
