Grab the family and join us on the Green of the Mercer Museum on Thursday for a special outdoor screening of "A Minecraft Movie" with the The County Theater and Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre 🎞️ From Jared Hess, the director of "Napoleon Dynamite" and based on the popular video game centered around using one’s imagination to craft a cubic wonderland, four misfits are transported to the magical world of Minecraft.
While there, their creativity will be essential to their survival as their quest back home involves evil Piglins, Zombies, plenty of building, and an encounter with an expert crafter played by Jack Black. This film is a colorful and bold big-screen adventure for the entire family, STarring Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Jennifer Coolidge.
Attendance for Movies at the Mercer is FREE, but we encourage you to register ahead of time so our staff is prepared to know the number of people who will be enjoying a screening on the green: https://www.countytheater.org/films/a-minecraft-movie
Gates open at 7:45 P.M. and the movie will begin at dusk (around 8:45 P.M.) 📽️ Please bring your own chair or blanket as seating will not be provided (and we recommend bringing some bug spray!). Limited parking is available in the museum lot, but walking and biking are encouraged.
