-Gives Pregnant Employees the Right to Accommodations

-Gives Pregnant Employees Protection from Retaliation for Requesting an Accomodation.

PUMP Act - Went into Effect December 29, 2022
-Employers are required to provide lactation break time and space to previously uncovered workers (teachers, registered nurses, farmworkers, and others)

For years, the Lawyers of Hardwick Benfer have argued that Civil Rights laws should protect Gay and Trans people from employment discrimination. At long last, the Supreme Court has agreed. This is a huge step forward for our brave clients and so many others that we care about. Hallelujah!

The court said the language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits s*x discrimination, applies to discrimination based on s*xual orientation and gender identity.
