Calling a family law office does not have to feel overwhelming. 📞

When you reach out, you’ll speak with someone from our intake team. We’ll ask a few simple questions so we can understand what you’re dealing with and point you in the right direction.

You don’t need to have your paperwork organized or know all the legal terminology. Just be prepared to share a little about your situation.

From there, we’ll help you understand the next steps, which often includes getting you scheduled for a clarity call.

That first call is simply a conversation. No pressure, no legal quiz, just a chance to tell us what’s going on.

Ready to take that first step? Link in bio.

On International Day of Peace, we are reminded that peace does not just happen on a global scale. It starts in our own homes. 🤍

For separating or divorcing parents, that often means one simple thing: keep the conflict away from your kids.

They notice more than we think, and how you handle disagreement matters more than who wins it.

Happy International Day of Peace from all of us at Meridian Law Office. 🕊️

Your holiday custody schedule should not be a guessing game. 🫣

A lot of families try to handle the holidays with a "we'll figure it out" agreement instead of an actual schedule. That works right up until it does not.

Pull out your order right now. Does it cover the holidays? Not just Christmas. Check for Halloween and Labor Day too, since a lot of orders leave those out completely.

If your order is missing pieces, now is the time to fix it, not the week before Thanksgiving.

Have questions about your holiday schedule? Let’s talk through your options in a clarity call.

Does your order clearly spell out your holidays, or are you guessing every year? 👇

Found out your co-parent is planning to move out of state with your kids? Here is what you need to know.

Swipe through for what most custody orders actually require before a move like this can happen. ➡️

Moves like this can affect your parenting time and how decisions get made going forward, which is exactly why they are treated as a big deal, not a quick announcement.

If you are facing this situation, do not wait to get advice. Let's talk through your options on a clarity call. Link in bio.

Divorce can wait until January. But should it? 👀

Every fall, we hear the same question: Should I wait until after the holidays to start my divorce?

There is no one-size fits all answer. But waiting does not pause the process. It simply pushes your timeline further out.

Starting now may give you more time to understand your options, plan ahead, and have a clear holiday schedule in place before the season begins.

Not sure whether now is the right time? Let’s talk through your timeline on a clarity call. Link in bio.

Would you rather start before the holidays or wait until January? 👇

Today we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders and families forever changed by that day.

We remember. We honor. We never forget.

Your ex just walked into your kid’s school play. 😬 Now what?

If your custody order does not say otherwise, both parents generally have the right to attend school events, including recitals, games, award ceremonies, and more.

That does not mean you have to sit together, interact, or turn the event into another custody battle. The priority is showing up for your child and keeping the focus on them.

If there is a genuine safety concern, that is a different situation and may require additional legal steps.

Not sure how to handle an uncomfortable co-parenting situation? Let’s talk it through on a clarity call. Link in bio.

Divorced and still arguing over who pays the school bills? 🎒💸

School supplies, sports fees, tuition, and other education costs can get complicated after divorce.

Many parents assume child support automatically covers every school-related expense, but that is not always the case. Bigger costs, such as private school tuition, may be handled separately from base child support.

If your order does not clearly explain who pays for what, that can become a problem when the next bill arrives.

Not sure what your order covers? Let’s break it down! Book your complimentary 30-minute clarity call today. Link in bio.
