I wonder how many people watching those lawyer commercials showing supposedly injured clients realize they are actually actors. And why are the words "actor portrayal" in such small type?

Chicago has been flooded with out of state personal injury law firms putting slick commercials on the air. What they don't tell you is that most of these firms weren't even in business in Chicago 2 or 3 years ago and the guy on the commercial often isn't even licensed to practice in Illinois. Oh, and those "client" testimonials? Those are actors according to the tiny fine print. Why hire a firm that is deceiving you about something as basic as that?

PSA: NEVER SIGN ANYTHING FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANY BEFORE TALKING TO A LAWYER. Met with a potential client in an auto accident case. It is important to know that Illinois only requires $25,000.00 in insurance coverage. And many have no insurance at all. That is when your uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage kicks in. Check your policy and make sure you have high limits. Otherwise, if you get seriously injured by an underinsured driver, you will not be able to get full compensation for your bills and injuries.
