We’ve moved. And this time, we’re doing it the right way.

Over the past year, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to refine our voice, our message, and most importantly, who we’re speaking to. As a Miami-based law firm serving South Florida for over 35 years, our focus has always been this community.

To better serve our local clients and provide relevant legal updates for Florida residents, we’ve officially relaunched our Instagram on a new page built specifically for Miami and South Florida audiences.

If you live in Florida, own a business here, drive here, work here, or raise a family here — this is the page for you.

On our new account, you can expect:
• Florida-specific legal education
• Updates that impact Miami residents
• Clear guidance on personal injury, insurance, and civil matters
• Real insight from experienced attorneys who practice here

Please head to our new page and follow us there to stay connected. We’ll be sharing valuable information you don’t want to miss.

Thank you for your continued support — and we look forward to serving our community with clarity, authority, and integrity.

See you on the new page.

Florida law now requires all driver’s license exams — including written and road tests — to be administered exclusively in English.

This change does not affect immigration status, but it can have a real impact on daily life for many Florida residents,
particularly immigrants and non-native English speakers who rely on driving for work, school, and family responsibilities.

Understanding how state laws intersect with everyday rights is important, even when immigration law itself is federal.
Staying informed helps individuals make safer, more prepared decisions.

Encounters with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can be intimidating — but knowing your rights can make a critical difference.

In Florida, ICE may approach individuals in public places, but you still have constitutional rights. You have the right to remain silent, the right to ask if you are free to leave, and the right to request an attorney. ICE officers may use intimidation or misleading statements, but you are not required to answer questions or sign documents without legal counsel.

ICE generally cannot enter your home without your consent or a judicial warrant signed by a judge. You also have the right to refuse consent to searches and to document the interaction if it is safe to do so.

Understanding what ICE can — and cannot — do helps protect you and your family.

Immigration Myths vs Facts — Florida Edition

Misinformation about immigration law can cause fear, missed opportunities, and serious legal consequences.
Marriage to a U.S. citizen does not automatically protect you.
Local police in Florida do not have the authority to deport you.
VAWA protections apply to eligible survivors of abuse of any gender.
Asylum is not automatic and requires strong legal proof.
A work permit allows employment — but it is not the same as lawful status.
Understanding the difference between myths and facts is critical when making immigration decisions. Every case is different, and what applies to one person may not apply to another.
