Picture this: the trick-or-treating is over and the kids start candy sorting. 🍫🍭
Before kids start digging into their haul, take a few minutes to inspect everything.

🚨 Throw away candy with damaged, open, or unusual-looking wrappers.
🍬 Don’t eat homemade treats from unknown sources unless you know who prepared them.
🔎 Check packaging for anything that looks tampered with.
👨‍👩‍👧 Have an adult help younger children inspect their candy.

Last but also important: don’t forget to check for food allergies and ingredients when necessary.

Not every dog loves Halloween... costumes, masks, doorbells, strangers and excited kids can be a lot for a dog.

When you’re approaching a home:

🐾 Don’t approach an unfamiliar dog.
🚪 Wait for the homeowner before entering a yard or approaching the door.
👀 Keep an eye on children around pets.
🎭 Masks and costumes can make people and animals harder to recognize.

If a homeowner has a “Beware of Dog” or similar warning, take it seriously and keep your distance. Remember Halloween is a night to have fun. Let’s be extra cautious around animals🐶

🎃 Spooky Season is Here!
Halloween means costumes, candy, and lots of little feet on the move. But when you’re walking after dark, staying visible is especially important.

👻 If there’s no sidewalk, walk as far from traffic as possible.
🔦 Carry a flashlight or use reflective accessories.
🚗 Cross at designated crossings whenever possible.
👀 Look both ways before crossing, even if you’re in a hurry to get to the next house.
A little extra caution can help keep Halloween fun.
