GC Community Care Day # 10! Today our team had the honor of serving at the Bowery Mission - prepping meals, serving food, and standing shoulder to shoulder with an organization that truly embodies compassion in action. One message that stayed with us all day:
“Serve like you are serving a king.”

That mindset shaped every plate we prepared, every conversation we shared, and every moment of service. It reminded us that dignity, respect, and kindness should be at the center of everything we do, especially when serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Bowery Mission and to continue giving back to the communities we serve every day, both inside and outside the courtroom.

🎄✨🎅🕎 Last night, our 4th Annual GC Holiday Party was a powerful reminder of what truly makes this place special. As we grow, we grow closer… not just as coworkers, but as a team that shows up for our clients when they need it most, and for each other every single day. This is more than a law firm. It’s a family built on trust, compassion, and shared purpose.

We’re also deeply grateful for 2025. For the opportunity to help so many people in need during some of the most difficult times in their lives, and for the challenges, growth, and experiences that shaped us and made us stronger as a team.

GC Community Care Day #9! Today, our team spent the day at Youth Consultation Service (YCS) at the George Washington School in Hackensack, NJ, sharing creativity, laughter, and gratitude through Thanksgiving-themed arts and crafts with the students.

We’re truly grateful for this meaningful opportunity to bring encouragement and positivity to the incredible children and teens supported by YCS, whose mission is to empower New Jersey’s most vulnerable youth and families through compassionate care and education.

On this Veterans Day, we also proudly honor the brave men and women who have served our nation, embodying the values we hold dear - integrity and commitment to community. 🇺🇸

Today we had the privilege of attending the 2025 YCS Charity Golf Classic at Edgewood Country Club ⛳️!

SETTLEMENT ALERT: Today, we appeared in Bergen County Superior Court before Judge Nasta for a crucial settlement conference with our clients, two sisters, standing by us throughout the day. After hours of intense negotiations with defense counsel, their adjuster, and the Court, we’re thrilled to announce a $140,000 settlement for our clients.

In March 2022, while driving home from grocery shopping, our clients’ vehicle was struck by defendant who recklessly pulled out from a parking spot, causing significant damage. Despite the clear negligence, the defense offered lowball settlements throughout the course of discovery.

It took being in front of the Judge on the eve of trial to reach this fair settlement. One plaintiff suffered a shoulder injury, and both sustained neck and back injuries. This settlement is a victory for justice and their future well-being. Our clients are overjoyed with the result, and it truly made all the hard work worth it.

GC Community Care Day #8! We had an incredible time with the amazing kids at JCCA’s Pleasantville Cottage Campus! From board games, air hockey, foosball, and ping pong to real conversations and a pizza party, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and connection.

Pleasantville Cottage School is home to emotionally troubled boys and girls who face educational, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Every part of their daily lives, from structured school days and therapy to job skills workshops, is designed to help them heal, grow, and return to their families or transition toward independence.

We’re so grateful to be part of their journey. Thank you to the staff and youth at JCCA for welcoming us into your incredible community 💙

SETTLEMENT ALERT: We’re proud to announce a $300,000 settlement for a 63 year old female client who was struck from behind by a forklift operated by a supermarket employee on a sidewalk in Queens. Liability was irrefutable with surveillance footage capturing the entire incident. The client underwent only one arthroscopic procedure to her left knee. Although additional surgeries were recommended for her left shoulder and neck, those procedures never went forward.

A single scope shouldn’t limit a case’s worth when the negligence is this clear and the injuries have a lasting impact. This result reinforces our growing reputation in Queens and sends a clear message. When we take a case, we go the distance.

We’re proud to share a hard-fought victory on behalf of a 51-year-old male plaintiff who sustained serious injuries in a trip-and-fall accident caused by a defective drain hole in the courtyard of his Bronx residence while taking out the trash. As a result of the fall, plaintiff sustained significant injuries to his left ankle and right shoulder, requiring surgery.

This was a highly contested case. The defense aggressively challenged both liability and causation, citing plaintiff’s extensive history of prior injuries and characterizing the matter as a “low six-figure case at best.”

Following five and a half hours of intense negotiations at mediation, we helped facilitate a $350,000 settlement for the plaintiff. In light of the disputed liability, complex medical history, and significant comparative fault risks, we believe this outcome represents a strong and strategic resolution for the plaintiff.

SETTLEMENT ALERT: $700,000. They said he wouldn’t win. We proved them wrong. We are proud to announce a $700,000 settlement for our client, a 54-year-old man who slipped and fell on snow and ice outside of a mall in New Jersey, suffering a serious ankle fracture that required surgery. Thanks to his strength and resilience, he made an excellent recovery after just a few months of physical therapy... but getting him justice was far from easy.

This was a fiercely contested case involving multiple defendants, each blaming each other and even trying to blame our client. They argued there was a storm in progress/ongoing storm at the time the plaintiff fell to avoid liability altogether. Our office fought through every obstacle. We took all party depositions, handled mandatory non-binding court arbitration, opposed three separate summary judgment motions filed by the defendants, retained and worked with liability and damages experts, and geared up for trial.

It was only after years of tireless work and preparation, and during an intense mediation, that we secured a $700,000 settlement just three weeks before trial. This result didn’t happen by accident.
