Home buyers and sellers, this is something worth paying attention to. ๐Ÿ‘€

Thereโ€™s a chance that starting June 1st, Zillow may no longer receive listing data from Realtracs.

So what does that mean?

For home buyers, it means Zillow may not show all of the homes currently available in our area. If youโ€™re actively looking, you may need to start using other options or go directly through the MLS/Realtracs with an agent so youโ€™re seeing the most accurate and up-to-date listings.

For home sellers, it means your listing may not automatically show up on Zillow like it has in the past. There may be options for agents to manually load listings, but even then, the bigger question is whether buyers will still be searching there if the data is no longer complete.

This isnโ€™t just a random local issue either. Similar situations have been happening in different markets across the country as MLS platforms, brokerages, agents, and large online portals work through data rules and listing display agreements.

At the end of the day, this is a good reminder that Zillow is a tool, but it is not the MLS.

If youโ€™re buying or selling, make sure youโ€™re working with someone who can help you access accurate information and explain what this means for your specific situation.
