Jayne Carver became a member of the Michigan Bar in 2009. Hailing from west Michigan, she discovered Detroit in 2001 when she began her undergraduate education at Wayne State University. She lived in Midtown and Corktown before settling on Detroit's Eastside in 2004. As a young homeowner her love for Detroit grew and she began to think about attending Law School. After earning a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Wayne State University in 2006, she began Law School there that same year. There, Jayne interned at the State Appellate Defender Office and Frank Murphy Hall of Justice, both experiences peaking an interest in the criminal justice system. She graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University in 2009 and passed the Michigan Bar that July. Jayne is enthusiastic about becoming a member of ReDetroit's team. This Law Center allows her to reach out to her own Eastside community as a practicing attorney, an opportunity so few have in their careers. Stephanie Kurtz, Law Librarian
