It appears the state has received a 45% increase in returns in comparison to last year which is contributing to the delay of state refunds. Be patient.

Thursday marks one month since the federal government and the State of Michigan began accepting tax returns.

The IRS has went live today!

IR-2025-08, Jan. 10, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service today announced that the nation’s 2025 tax season will start on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, and will feature expanded and enhanced tools to help taxpayers as a result of the agency’s historic modernization efforts.
