The IRS began accepting returns on the 29th.
Those filers that are filing returns which include Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) will not begin to begin to issue the refunds until around February 15th. They are reviewing those returns.

TAX SEASON IS HERE, BUT, THE IRS WILL NOT BE PROCESSING 1040 INDIVIDUAL RETURNS UNTIL THE LAST WEEK OF JANUARY. AND THOSE INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE FILING FOR THE CHILD TAX CREDIT (EITC), AND THE EARNED INCOME CREDIT (EIC) WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THEIR REFUNDS UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY. "It gets later every year"
