HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS!
As we continue moving forward into this year's hurricane season, it's always best to stay PREPARED.
REVIEW THESE TIPS FOR BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THE STORM:
BEFORE - Create an inventory, stay tuned into your weather alerts, review your insurance policy, fix any loose exterior items such as shingles, soffits, downspouts, etc. Be sure your phone is charged, your car has gas, and you have an evacuation plan ready in case you need to leave.
DURING - If you stay, keep sheltered INSIDE your home away from windows, flood water, and glass. Inform your friends and family of your whereabouts and safety, and keep notice of the weather changes in your area.
AFTER - If you've left, wait until there's official notice that it's safe to return. When you get home, report any damages to your insurance company right away. Keep an accurate record of all small temporary repairs and all expenses that came with repairs and/or evacuation. As always, call your family members and friends who were also effected by the storm and ensure they're okay.
