Pride didn't begin as a celebration. It began as a refusal.

A refusal to be silent.
A refusal to be erased.
A refusal to accept a world that decides whose humanity matters.

This month, we honor the people who fought, organized, marched, resisted, and imagined something better long before it seemed possible.

Pride is a reminder that progress is never handed down—it is demanded, built, and defended by communities willing to challenge the status quo.

The work isn't finished. The future isn't guaranteed. And that's exactly why we keep showing up.

Happy Pride Month.

(And keep an eye on our socials all month for ways you can help the fight.)

For the second year in a row, Governor Jared Polis has vetoed legislation that would have removed Colorado's outdated and unnecessary second-election requirement for union security agreements. The bill, HB 1005, passed the legislature and was backed by workers and labor advocates who argue that Colorado's unique system creates extra barriers to collective bargaining.

When workers vote to form a union, they've already spoken. Requiring an additional 75% vote before unions can fully negotiate on behalf of all employees stacks the deck against working people and gives corporations more opportunities to delay and weaken worker power. Colorado remains an outlier with this extra hurdle.

Strong unions help workers secure better wages, safer workplaces, stronger benefits, and a real voice on the job. At a time when working families are facing rising costs and economic uncertainty, we should be making it easier—not harder—for workers to organize and bargain collectively.

Colorado workers deserve labor laws that reflect the realities of today's economy, not restrictions from another era. The fight for worker rights isn't over, and neither is the movement for fair treatment, dignity, and a stronger middle class.

House Bill 1005 would have abolished a requirement in the Colorado Labor Peace Act that 75% of workers at a company sign off before unions can negotiate with businesses over union dues.

Workplace discrimination isn’t going away… but is enforcement changing?

Even though federal laws protecting workers haven’t changed, the way those laws are enforced is shifting. Recent moves—like pulling back guidance and changing priorities—could make it harder for workers to get support or for employers to know exactly how to comply.

Discrimination remains a real issue in today’s workplaces, but the systems designed to handle it may be evolving in ways that leave more questions than answers.

The EEOC is taking a different approach to employment discrimination than it has in the past. But has employment discrimination changed enough to merit this new focus?

A new report highlights how employees are really coping with job stress—and it’s not always healthy. From burnout and anxiety to using alcohol, drugs, or even working through emotional breakdowns, many workers are struggling more than they let on.

With rising financial pressure and nonstop demands, it’s no surprise that work stress is spilling into everyday life. The reality? A lot of people aren’t managing stress—they’re just surviving it.

An uncertain economy has slowed down hiring, which is stressing out employees. Here's what's happening.

Today, on International Workers’ Day, we recognize the people whose hard work keeps our communities, businesses, and economy moving forward.

At [Firm Name], we believe every worker deserves dignity, fairness, and a safe workplace. International Workers’ Day is a reminder of the progress made in protecting employee rights — and the continued importance of standing up for fair wages, equal opportunity, and respectful working environments.

We are proud to advocate for employees and employers alike by promoting compliance, accountability, and workplaces built on respect.

Here’s to the workers who make it all possible — today and every day.

Colorado passed a bill that raises the overtime threshold for farmworkers from 48 hours to 56 hours a week — and that’s a step in the wrong direction.

Farm work is already one of the most physically demanding and lowest-paid jobs in the state. Asking people to work even longer before they qualify for overtime pay doesn’t support workers — it puts more strain on them.

We understand farmers are facing real economic pressures. But solving that shouldn’t come at the expense of the people doing the hard labor that keeps our food system running.

Fair pay matters. Worker protections matter.

It will be harder for farmworkers to earn overtime pay after Thursday's action.

This is really cool to see happening here in Denver.

A program featured on 9NEWS is giving girls the chance to get hands-on exposure to orthopedics and surgery—fields where women are still hugely underrepresented. Instead of just hearing about these careers, they’re actually getting to see what it’s like and imagine themselves in those roles.

Opportunities like this can make such a big difference. Sometimes all it takes is seeing that a path exists—and realizing you belong there.

Love seeing programs like this opening doors for the next generation!

Women are underrepresented in surgery specialties, with as few as just 7% of orthopedic surgeons being women.

Employers are still fighting to force workers into private arbitration instead of letting them have their day in court.

In fact, companies keep asking the Supreme Court to expand the reach of the Federal Arbitration Act — even though that law was never meant to cover most employment contracts.

Forced arbitration means:
-No jury
-No public accountability
-No real chance to join together in class actions

It keeps wage theft, discrimination, and harassment claims behind closed doors — and overwhelmingly benefits employers.

Workers deserve access to real courts, real transparency, and real justice. It’s time to end forced arbitration.

In Flowers Foods v. Brock, for the third time in four years, the Supreme Court is deciding whether an employer may impose mandatory arbitration on a certain group of workers as a condition of employment. The reason for all this litigation is the Supreme Court’s 2001 five-to-four opinion in Circuit...
