Anthony Pereira, Metro Volunteer Lawyers' managing attorney, helped welcome the newest cohort of 12 attorneys to Legal Entrepreneurs for Justice (LEJ) https://www.lejco.org/ on Wednesday. He spoke on MVL’s pro bono opportunities throughout the Denver Metro area. LEJ plays a vital role in shaping the future of the legal profession by supporting socially conscious lawyers who provide affordable legal services to low and middle-income individuals in Colorado.
Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL) has had the privilege of working with many LEJ attorneys over the years, and we greatly appreciate the dedication and innovation they bring to the legal community. In fact, several of our volunteers have come from LEJ cohorts, using their expertise to bridge the justice gap and expand access to legal services. We hope this new group continues that tradition by engaging in pro bono work and collaborating with MVL to support those in need. LEJ’s model aligns with MVL’s mission to bridge the gap in access to justice. Their model of empowering attorneys to offer predictable pricing, flexible representation, and innovative service models helps ensure that individuals who do not qualify for free legal services through MVL or similar organizations can still obtain high-quality legal representation.
LEJ is the legal incubator of the Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program. LEJ provides the training, mentoring, resources, and support for lawyers to establish, maintain and grow firms addressing the needs of low and middle-income legal consumers.
