Many of you have reached out to us asking about the changes in the real estate industry that have been in the headlines. The truth is - in Colorado, we just have some procedural practices that we need to implement.

If you are a buyer and are ready to begin to look at properties with your agent, you will need to sign a written agreement with your agent BEFORE touring a home so you understand exactly what services will be provided, and for how much.

You do not need a written agreement if you are just asking an agent about their services.

Agent compensation for home buyers and sellers continues to be fully negotiable. It will not be listed in the MLS any longer, so it is important for buyers and sellers to have these discussions up front with their Realtor.

When finding an agent to work with, ask questions about their services, compensation and these written agreements. Experience is more important than EVER!!
