Money decisions during divorce can feel impossible, especially when you're also navigating legal proceedings, parenting, and everything else that comes with this season of life.

That's exactly why we're bringing in Brianna Beski, CDFA®, as a special guest on our next Lunch & Learn.

Brianna is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst who works alongside attorneys and their clients to bring clarity to the financial side of divorce — asset division, long-term planning, and understanding what your decisions today mean for your financial future.

She'll be sharing the top questions she gets asked as a CDFA, so you can understand the real financial impact of the choices you're facing, not just right now, but through retirement and beyond.

This isn't about pressure. It's about knowledge because when you understand your options, you can make decisions from a grounded place instead of a fearful one.

You know what’s happening…

Missed exchanges that get explained away
Agreements that suddenly never existed
Abuse that flies just under the radar
Performative co-parenting that confuses providers
Things your children come home saying that don’t sit right…

Yet somehow, when it’s time to explain it to the court, they don’t get it.

You feel like you’re screaming into the void
But no one hears you.

I see you. I’ve been there.

It’s not because it’s not happening

It’s because the court needs it presented in a very specific way.

That’s what this workshop is about.

I'm honored to have been featured on Noelle Van’s podcast, The Change Effect. In the episode we chat about turning pain into purpose, and how the hardest chapter in our lives doesn't have to be the end of the story.

Check out the episode, out today, to learn a bit about my journey and hear what's coming up next at Peaceful Presence Divorce Coaching.

In today's newly released third episode of our Pros Who Pivot Series, we get into something very real, how personal trauma can crack a career wide open and point you somewhere you never expected to go.

Cat Climaco is a high-conflict divorce, custody, and co-parenting coach who built a successful marketing career, worked alongside her husband in a thriving company, and from the outside appeared to have it all. But behind the image, she was quietly losing access to her family, her autonomy, and her sense of reality.

Cat shares the patterns she lived through, how the pandemic became the turning point that blew the lid off the control she had been experiencing, and after filing for divorce how she found herself navigating one of the most complex legal systems imaginable, family court, while still deep in survival mode.

Her story doesn't end with leaving. It continues into a two-and-a-half-year battle to protect her son, earn sole decision-making rights, and eventually transform everything she went through into purpose-driven work that is now helping other protective parents find their footing, their voice, and their way forward.

In this episode, I discuss:

✅ How leaving the work she loved led her to find her purpose in a powerful new career.
✅ The early warning signs of narcissistic abuse that are easy to miss or rationalize.
✅ How Cat's helps clients combine nervous system regulation and legal strategy to build a winning case.
✅ Why the abuse often intensifies after separation, not before.

This episode is a reminder that the hardest chapters of our lives don't have to be the end of the story. Sometimes they become the very thing we were meant to share.

For many protective parents navigating divorce, daily life already requires enormous energy.

Court dates.
Supporting children dysregulated by contact with the coercive controller.
Providing for your children while trying to heal from decades of abuse.

When life is that full, the idea of adding even one more thing feels impossible. The idea of eating healthy can feel like an enormous task, no matter how important it is to you.

Eating healthy isn't about perfection or rigid tracking. Sometimes it begins with a quieter question: How do I want to feel while I move through this season of my life?

Small, stress-free supportive choices can help restore steadier energy, regulate your emotions, and build resilience over time. Both for you, and your children.

Recently, something shifted — quietly, but meaningfully.

A bill in Colorado (HB26-1103) moved forward that begins to address a reality many protective parents know too well: When you raise concerns about your child’s safety… you’re not always met with action. Sometimes you’re met with dismissal. Sometimes you’re told it’s “a civil matter.”

And sometimes, nothing is documented at all. This bill starts to change that. It requires that when a report involving a child is made involving concerns about their safety — questions are asked, safety is considered, and a record is created. Not perfectly. Not completely. But intentionally. And that matters.

Because when there is no documentation, there is no pattern. And when there is no pattern, protective parents are often left carrying the full weight of proving what they’ve already been living. For cases involving sexual abuse, the process remains clear: trained professionals, structured interviews, and trauma-informed support through Child Advocacy Centers.

But what’s significant here is the broader shift: A move away from inaction… and toward accountability. This doesn’t fix the system. But it removes some of the silence within it. And for many families navigating post-separation abuse and high-conflict custody dynamics, that shift — even a small one — can change what’s possible moving forward.

Next step: final Senate vote. We’re watching closely.

Children who grow up around manipulation or coercive control can sometimes struggle to trust their own perceptions.

When the truth is consistently minimized, denied, or reframed, it can create confusion about what is real.

Age-appropriate honesty helps children develop a clearer internal compass. It supports their ability to recognize safe behavior, unsafe behavior, and the difference between the two.

Over time, that clarity becomes an important form of protection.

A parenting plan is not just paperwork. It is a roadmap for your family’s future.

Clear plans reduce uncertainty, limit unnecessary conflict, and help everyone know what to expect. When the path is defined, there is less room for misunderstanding and more space for stability and healing.

You do not have to figure this out alone. Support can help you move forward with confidence.
