This does not work in Colorado. A spouse is a spouse until there is a divorce decree, and Colorado family law prohibits moving assets once either party files for divorce. It is really difficult to disinherit a spouse in Colorado. We suggest discussing your options with counsel before you are in Larry's shoes.
