Caregivers are an important component of the medical ma*****na landscape. Primary caregivers were authorized by Amendment 20. A primary caregiver means a natural person, other than the patient or the patient’s physician, who is eighteen years of age or older and has significant responsibility for managing the well-being of a patient who has a debilitating medical condition. Caregivers provide necessary services for medical ma*****na patients in the State of Colorado. Despite their services, caregivers are stringently regulated and subject to a variety of restrictions. Many of these restrictions were put in place by the new Colorado state law. It is important that a caregiver knows their rights, as well as the rights of their patients. Infused Product Manufacturer Representation
According to Colorado law, Medical Marijuana-Infused Product means a product infused with medical ma*****na that is intended for use or consumption other than by smoking, including but not limited to edible products, ointments, and tinctures. The state of Colorado will soon be issuing a license for medical ma*****na-infused product manufacturers across the state. There are many guidelines, ranging from cultivation to facility maintenance, that these product manufacturers will need to follow in order to comply with the law.
