The O'Sullivan Law Firm

The O'Sullivan Law Firm For over 25 years, our attorneys have been helping injured Coloradans and their families get the justice they deserve. It's free.

We only settle cases for the maximum possible compensation. Call or text us any time at 303-388-5304 to talk to a lawyer. At The O’Sullivan Law Firm, our clients work directly with one attorney from start to finish, whether the case is settled or goes all the way to trial. Clients are never passed off to a paralegal or legal assistant. We develop relationships built on trust and we explain every s

tep of the process to our clients. Our success rate is over 99% with more than 1,500 cases won. We take cases on a contingency fee basis. This means we work for free until we earn a portion of our client's compensation which then cover our costs to win the case. We understand how overwhelming and stressful it can be to navigate the aftermath of an accident and injury. Our dedicated team is here to help you every step of the way. Whether you’ve been involved in a car crash or motorcycle accident or bike accident, suffered a slip and fall, or experienced any other type of injury due to someone else’s negligence, we are committed to fighting for the compensation you deserve. We bring over 25 years of experience, a deep understanding of personal injury law, and a compassionate approach to every case we handle. It's crucial to hire a law firm that genuinely has your best interests at heart. Unfortunately, not all personal injury lawyers prioritize their clients' well-being. Some may be more interested in pursuing a quicker, less lucrative settlement to maximize their own profits. At The O'Sullivan Law Firm, we stay up-to-date with the latest laws and regulations to ensure that you receive the best possible outcome for your case. If an injury attorney looks at your insurance and the other driver’s insurance to determine the potential value of your case, then they're not doing their job. There's a plethora of sources that may be available to you given the details of your unique case. Again, these can only be discovered by an attorney who is willing to listen and to spend time with you on your case. I will be that attorney for you. We believe that our clients deserve more than just a quick settlement—they deserve justice and full compensation for their injuries and suffering. Trust us to advocate for your rights with integrity, dedication, and a genuine commitment to your recovery. - Scott

You can do everything right on the road and still be left exposed after a crash.

Colorado has the highest underinsured motorist rate in the country at 49.7%. The Insurance Information Institute also lists Colorado as the ninth-highest state for uninsured motorists, with 19.7% of drivers uninsured in 2023.

That means the driver who hits you may not have enough insurance, or any insurance at all, to cover the damage they cause.

This is why uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, often called UM/UIM coverage, matters so much. It is protection you put in place before a crash happens, so you are not forced to depend on someone else’s insurance after your life has already been disrupted.

At The O’Sullivan Law Firm, we do not sell insurance. But we do see what happens when injured people learn too late that the at-fault driver was not properly covered.

Colorado’s hands-free law has been in affect since the start of the year. Scott O’Sullivan spent years working with families, safety advocates and lawmakers to help write and pass the bill because he had seen, again and again, the damage distracted driving causes.

Now that the law is in effect, one question still matters after a crash: can we prove the other driver was distracted?

That proof can come from phone records, witness statements, crash reports, vehicle data, camera footage and the driver’s own behavior before impact. And it matters because insurance companies may still try to minimize what happened, even when distraction seems obvious.

At The O’Sullivan Law Firm, we know how to investigate distracted driving crashes and build the evidence needed to protect injured people.

If you were hit by a distracted driver in Colorado, call or text The O’Sullivan Law Firm at 303-388-5304 for free legal advice. Talk directly with a lawyer today to protect your future.

Colorado pedestrian deaths are rising, and insurance companies are still trying to blame the people who were hit.

It's not acceptable.

After a pedestrian crash, it's all about the evidence. Speed, visibility, driver distraction, road conditions and witness accounts can all change the case. The insurance company may try to control the story early, but that does not make their version true.

Injured pedestrians have rights. Families deserve answers. And full compensation starts with a lawyer who knows how to push back.

After a bike or e-bike crash, the question is not always as simple as “Who hit who?” Compensation may come from a driver’s auto insurance, your own UM/UIM coverage, another rider’s homeowner’s or renter’s policy, a government entity responsible for a dangerous road, or even a product manufacturer if a battery or component failed.

That is why what you do immediately after a crash matters. Get medical care, call the police, document the scene, and do not give a recorded statement before you understand your rights.

If you were injured on an e-bike in Colorado, call or text The O’Sullivan Law Firm at 303-388-5304 for free legal advice. You’ll speak directly with a lawyer.

E-bikes are everywhere in Colorado, and they can be a great way to get around. But when crashes happen, the injuries are often more serious than people expect.

Their weight, speed, and handling make e-bike accidents very different from ordinary bicycle crashes, especially when a car is involved.

“We see it every spring. The first warm weekends bring riders back out, but many drivers haven’t mentally adjusted yet. That gap in awareness is when a lot of crashes happen.” – Scott O’Sullivan, Colorado motorcycle attorney

Here's what drivers forget:
👉 "I didn't see the motorcycle" is NOT a legal defense — it's often proof of negligence.
👉 Left-turn collisions and unsafe lane changes are the most common crash scenarios.
👉 Early spring roads still have sand, gravel, and cold pavement — extra hazards for riders.

Motorcyclists have the SAME rights to the road as any other vehicle. If you're riding this season, document everything after a crash, seek medical attention immediately (adrenaline masks pain!), and don't give recorded statements to insurance companies without legal advice.

Stay safe out there — and drivers, please look twice. 🙏

🚨 Heads-up, Colorado drivers!
For the first time in state history, automated speed enforcement cameras are being activated on I-25 between Mead and Berthoud as part of a new effort to slow traffic in a major construction work zone.

Warnings begin March 1, with $75 civil penalties expected in April for those exceeding the posted limits.

Slow down, stay safe.

For the first time in Colorado history, speed enforcement cameras will begin issuing citations along a major interstate.
