Buscan identificar a sospechoso de robo y uso fraudulento de tarjetas en Lakewood.

Las autoridades solicitan la ayuda de la comunidad para identificar a un hombre presuntamente involucrado en un robo ocurrido tras un allanamiento a un vehículo.

Según la investigación, una persona ingresó a un automóvil y robó un teléfono celular y una cartera que se encontraban en el interior.

Posteriormente, un hombre fue captado por cámaras de seguridad utilizando las tarjetas de crédito robadas en una gasolinera de Lakewood.

Videos de vigilancia del vecindario muestran la participación de dos sospechosos, por lo que los investigadores buscan información que permita identificarlos.

Descripción del sospechoso captado en la gasolinera:

Hombre blanco o hispano.

Complexión media.

Vestía una sudadera roja Nike con cierre, gorra roja y tenis blancos.

SCAM ALERT! We’re not calling you.

Scammers are spoofing caller ID to make it look like the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is calling. We’re not.

They are impersonating local law enforcement and claiming you missed jury duty or failed to appear in court. Then they try to scare you into paying immediately to avoid arrest.

Here’s how it typically goes: someone calls claiming they are a deputy. They may say there is a warrant for your arrest because you missed jury duty, ignored a summons, or failed to show up for court. They might offer a way to “resolve it” on the phone if you pay a fine right now.

They might tell you to:

• Send cash
• Deposit money at a Bitcoin ATM
• Buy gift cards and read off the numbers
• Send money through Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo

Even if the caller uses the name of a real deputy, a real phone number appears on caller ID, or they know personal details like your address, it does not mean it is legitimate. Scammers can spoof numbers and pull details from public sources.

Remember this:

• Law enforcement will never call to warn you that you will be arrested or threaten arrest if you hang up
• Law enforcement will never demand payment by cash, gift cards, cryptocurrency, payment apps, or wire transfers to clear a warrant or fix a jury duty issue

Another example of our “soft on crime” policies failing!!!!!

🚔 Arrestado dos veces el mismo día en Colorado

Rocky Ford, Colorado. 16 de junio de 2026. Aproximadamente a las 7:08 a.m., el Departamento de Policía de Rocky Ford fue notificado sobre un hombre que se encontraba durmiendo dentro de un vehículo en Absolute Auto, ubicado en la cuadra 100 de North Main.

Los oficiales localizaron a Gary Bramlett, de 62 años, dentro de un vehículo en la propiedad y procedieron a arrestarlo. Bramlett fue ingresado en la Cárcel del Condado de Otero por los cargos de violación de una orden de protección e intrusión criminal en segundo grado.

Bramlett ya había sido arrestado anteriormente, el 11 de abril de 2026, por ingresar ilegalmente a vehículos en Absolute Automotive.

Más tarde ese mismo día, Bramlett fue liberado de la cárcel bajo una fianza de reconocimiento personal (PR).

Sin embargo, el 16 de junio de 2026, alrededor de las 9:45 p.m., fue arrestado nuevamente en la cuadra 1400 de Elm Avenue por los cargos de:

• Robo
• Intrusión criminal en primer grado (vehículo motorizado)
• Intrusión criminal en segundo grado
• Intento de robo agravado de vehículo motorizado en primer grado
• Agresión en tercer grado
• Hurto (menos de $300)

Actualmente, Bramlett permanece detenido en la Cárcel del Condado de Otero con una fianza de $3,000 en efectivo.
