We recently held our Board Retreat, bringing together Board members for a dynamic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and chart an exciting vision for the year ahead. We were especially honored to be joined by several Past Presidents, whose continued leadership, engagement, and support remain an important part of SPBCFAWL’s continued success.

The retreat sparked meaningful conversation, fresh ideas, and renewed enthusiasm as we reflected on our goals, strengthened relationships, and set the stage for an impactful year of programming, service, and engagement within our legal community.

Last week, a group of attorneys had the privilege of speaking with the incredible young people participating in the Rise Up Program, a probation diversionary initiative, on behalf of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association and the South Palm Beach County Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Our conversation centered on the power of choices, personal accountability, and the reality that a single decision—whether good or bad—can change the course of a person's life. More importantly, we wanted these young people to know that their past does not define their future. Every day presents a new opportunity to make better choices, pursue new goals, and create a brighter path forward.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved with the Rise Up Program for the meaningful work you do each day. By investing in our youth, we are investing in stronger families, safer communities, and a brighter future. Together, we can make a difference—one conversation, one choice, and one life at a time.

What a wonderful evening celebrating excellence, leadership, and the incredible women who make our legal community so special.

Congratulations to Judge Laura Burkhart on being honored as South Palm Beach FAWL's Woman Lawyer of the Year. This recognition is a testament to her dedication, professionalism, and the positive impact she has made on our legal community. We are fortunate to have such an outstanding role model and leader.

We were also honored to witness the induction of the 2026–2027 South Palm Beach FAWL Board of Directors. A huge thank you to our incredible guest speaker, Michelle Citrin, for joining us at today’s SPBC FAWL May Luncheon! 📸✨

Michelle shared so many valuable insights on professional branding, confidence in front of the camera, and how attorneys can authentically showcase themselves both online and in their practice. From learning simple posing techniques to understanding the power of a great headshot, today’s presentation was both informative and so much fun!

One of the best parts? Watching some of our guests step out of their comfort zones and practice the poses Michelle taught us — there were definitely lots of laughs, confidence boosts, and memorable moments!
