Mortgage demand rose for the second week in a row, with applications up 0.4% for the week ending Feb. 20, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Refinances jumped 4% from the previous week and are 150% higher than last year. Purchase applications fell slightly but are still 12% higher than a year ago.
Rates on 30-year fixed loans fell to 6.01%, the lowest since September 2022.
