Some closings just hit a little different… and this one was one of them. 🏡

A huge congratulations to my buyers on closing their beautiful new home at 6121 Robin Road in Crestview!

This journey started back in February through a referral and became part of something so much bigger… a family leaving Tennessee behind to start a brand new chapter here in Florida. There is something incredibly special about helping people plant roots, chase a new beginning, and find the place they’ll call home.

What made this one even more meaningful was getting the honor of working with a retired Police Chief and his family throughout the process. Clients like this remind me why I love what I do.

And truthfully, this closing was also such a reminder of the team we’ve built at Southern Choice Properties. While I was vacationing in Hawaii, my team stepped in without missing a beat and kept everything moving smoothly from contract to closing. Every detail handled. Every conversation covered. Every step protected.

That’s the kind of teamwork I’m incredibly proud of.

To make it even sweeter… this dream officially became reality on my birthday. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better closing gift. ❤️

Before summer really kicks in, take a slow walk around your yard and actually look at it. Not the “running to the car with coffee in hand” kind of look… the real homeowner walk. 👀

Check for:
• Soft or soggy spots in the yard
• Drainage issues after rain
• Loose fence boards or gates
• Overgrown bushes touching the house
• Cracked hoses or leaking spigots
• Tree limbs hanging too close to the roof
• Ant hills, wasp nests, or signs of pests

The little things are usually what turn into expensive things later. A quick 10 minute walk around your property now can save you a headache when Florida summer storms start showing off. ☀️⛈️

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every single day.

While many spend the day gathered with family, grilling out, soaking up sunshine, or enjoying a long weekend… may we never forget the true meaning behind it. Freedom came at a cost, and this day is about honoring those who paid it.

We remember the sacrifice.
We honor the courage.
And we stay grateful for the lives that made ours possible.

This weekend is more than just a long weekend. It is a moment to pause and remember.

Freedom is not something we earned. It is something that was given at a cost. By families who carry loss. By men and women who answered a call bigger than themselves.

It is easy to move past that quickly, but today I do not want to. I want to remember. I want to be grateful. I want to live in a way that honors the sacrifice that made this life possible.

Gratitude is not just something we say. It is something we carry with us in how we live.
