We sat down with our law clerk, Nicole Trent, to hear about her time at Pact.

Contracts are the backbone of your business relationships. But too often, they’re allowed to roll over without a second look.

When vendor, customer, or lease agreements are set to renew, that’s your chance to ask: do these terms still serve us?

An expiring contract can be turned into leverage. It’s the moment to renegotiate rates, adjust payment schedules, or add protections that reflect today’s realities, from supply chain shifts to changing customer demand.

Action step: Review your top five revenue-driving and cost-heavy agreements. Renegotiate terms or update provisions now, while you still have leverage.
