Has a friend ever come to you for a recommendation? Chances are they have. Whether they were looking for a new computer, coffee maker, or book to read, your friend came to you because they consider you an expert and greatly value your opinion. And let’s be honest; we would all rather have a friend recommend a great book to read or TV to purchase, than some random clerk at a nearby store who we’ve never met before. This is exactly what MyEndoShop’s founder, Russ Gottesman, thought when his sister-in-law came to him inquiring about the TV he owned. She loved his TV, asked him all sorts of questions about it, and then proceeded to go the nearest big box retailer and purchase the TV. Russ got to thinking, If I’m the one that went to all the trouble of selling her on this TV, why should some 17 year old (no offense to the kid, of course) working at the store receive commission? Why shouldn’t I? And it was from this encounter that MyEndoShop was born! Russ wanted to create a social shopping platform that would empower the user and allow them to earn commission based on the purchases they influenced. And what’s better than earning a few extra bucks for recommending products you already know and love? Maybe air, and water. But that’s about it.

Online shopping to the rescue!

Since Cyber Monday, holiday shopping has plateaued, but it is expected to pick back up on December 17th when all the "last minute" gift givers make their purchases just in time for the Christmas holiday.

People aren't going out and shopping much this week, which is bad for retailers, but good for us.
