Meet Attorney Kristen Gomes Milam— the force behind the Police Training division.

Rossman Legal spent years waiting for the right attorney to lead this role. When Kristen began teaching alongside Gregg, he knew he had found her. A UF Law graduate and former Broward Assistant State Attorney, Kristen spent eight years fiercely fighting for victims, known for a relentless commitment to doing what was right—no matter the cost—to ensure fair and just trials for victims.

As a first-generation American 🇺🇸 with strong ties to Brazil 🇧🇷 , she understands firsthand what happens when law and order fail. Today, she brings that same intensity, integrity, and purpose to standing beside law enforcement.

You’re conducting surveillance outside of your jurisdiction on a suspect you have probable cause to believe recently committed a violent felony in your jurisdiction. The suspect arrives at a bus stop and you and your team decide to attempt to apprehend him. On approach, the suspect presents a firearm and aims it at detectives. You’re forced to shoot and kill the suspect. Are you legally allowed to be there? Would it make a difference if there was an Arrest Warrant in the system?
