“I had a brain tumor removed several years ago. Evidently, I had a rider on my life insurance policy that stated if I was ever seriously ill for a period of time, I didn't have to pay on the insurance policy. My new insurance agent let me know that money should be returned to me, so she put in a claim in my name. Over the next two months, claim representatives sent me letters requesting doctor's results, CT scans, and more. I was nice at first and went out of my way to give them what I had ... but, after a few more weeks, the calls and requests became overwhelming. Finally, I decided I shouldn't have to be the one to deal with all the paperwork since I wasn't the one who turned in the claim. “For the past two years we’ve been battling with a company who said we owed them over $2,000 for a breach of contract, when they were the one who terminated the contract. After talking and having heated discussions many times, we decided to contact LegalShield and speak with an attorney who knew our rights. The attorney we spoke with listened and felt we were in the right, so he wrote a letter on our behalf, at no extra cost to us - it was mailed off just about 3 weeks ago. “This week I was asked by my new employer to sign a Non-Compete and a Confidentiality Agreement. This is the first time ever in 27 years in my industry that I've been approached with these. I've never even heard of another elevator mechanic being asked to sign such legal documents. So, I told my boss I'd like to have my attorney review them first. When the law firm called me back he said this is really unusual, and 'In this case, I don't think for a minute an attorney drew these up - these have a high probability of not being enforceable in a court of law, and most importantly… I don't like these; DO NOT SIGN unless it means you will lose your position, and if that action is threatened, call back because we can then easily fight this in court.' “This past week a member called me frazzled after she tried to get help with AT&T's fraud dept for SIX iPhone X’s that were put on her account. She'd received a bill for $1,920, couldn’t figure out why, couldn't pay that amount, and, after an AT&T fraud department agent determined the extra phones were added to their account online with her disabled husband’s authorization - which was not true - both hers and her husband's phones were turned off. The member was so upset and wanted to cancel her AT&T account but was told that to do so would cost her over $8,000, which she definitely didn't have. She called me to ask if her LegalShield and IDShield plans could help? I told her to call IDShield first, then contact her Provider Law Firm. "I tried to trade in my car, but the dealership only wanted to give me $2,000 when I thought it should have been worth at least $9,000; then, the dealership told me my car had frame damage! I told them that was impossible, because I was never in an accident the entire time I owned the car, and I bought it with a clean Car Fax. Or so I thought. Apparently, the original place I bought it from knew it was in an accident, but never disclosed it to me!! So, I called my Legalshield Provider Firm and the attorney who called me back listened to my situation then decided to write a demand letter on my behalf to that original dealership stating the laws and my legal rights. Two weeks later, I got a check in the mail for the original purchase price of the car I bought 3 years ago -- $13,544!!! Thank you, Legalshield!"

"Last week my wife and I were in a horrible auto accident. An uninsured driver ran a red light while we were turning left on a green arrow. Our car was totaled and we sustained injuries which we're still dealing with. The first thing we did the morning after was call LegalShield. A lawyer called us back an hour later and gave us advice on how to handle the insurance company, the dealership, and the rental car company; he told us the insurance company would low ball us on the value of our 3-year old car, and they did - they offered only $12K, but when I told them my lawyer recommended I ask for comparisons to show value, the next minute they upped the payoff to $15K. Next, we found a car at a dealership. The dealer tried charging us $2K for an 'appearance package', and since our lawyer warned us about this, too, we balked and they relented. When given the purchase agreement, we told the finance officer we wanted our lawyer to review the contracts before we signed. Interestingly, she dashed out and 15 minutes later came back with new contracts which she faxed to our law firm at 4:42pm. A lawyer called us back within five minutes and said they'd be reviewed in the morning. The next day, a lawyer called us and went over the agreement, page by page. We decided to sign. Amazing peace of mind through this whole process, even though the whole thing was pretty stressful! The fact that there were no charges for any of these legal services beyond our low monthly fee is always a huge bonus. We love this plan."

"I was pummeled from behind while at a complete standstill waiting for a logging truck to turn left. Because my daughter had previously sustained a brain bleed from an accident a few years ago, and her head was hurting immediately after this car accident, we were both shaken up. Takeaway from this is that insurance is for THINGS in life, but in the blink of any eye, life can all be taken away - count your blessings! ... and pay a wee bit more attention while driving. Life is good.' ."
