Yesterday, Jennifer (“Jen”) Shah was released from Federal Prison Camp Bryan and officially entered the pre-release custody phase of her sentence. With the custodial portion behind her, Jen now begins her transition back into the community under supervised conditions as required by the BOP.
She is grateful for the support shown throughout her incarceration and during this next step. Jen will not be making additional public statements at this time as she focuses on meeting her obligations and moving forward with intention.
While Jen is a public figure, there are countless incarcerated individuals who remain behind bars due to systemic failures within the Bureau of Prisons.
Post-conviction relief has its pits and its peaks, but moments like this make the work worth it. Jen’s release is a powerful reminder to keep going— and to continue fighting for those still waiting for their second chance.
It has been an honor to advocate for the Shah family.Welcome home Jen!

🚨 Major Legal Win 🚨

Pedro Flores — one of the Chicago “Flores twins,” once tied to the Sinaloa Cartel and known for his association with Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán — was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison for co***ne and he**in trafficking.

After serving more than a decade behind bars and showing full compliance and rehabilitation on supervised release, a federal judge has now terminated his supervision.

I am honored to have represented Mr. Flores and proud to have fought for this result. This ruling marks the conclusion of a historic case and stands as a powerful reminder that our justice system must recognize accountability, reform, and second chances.

MAJOR WIN: Mia Flores (Vivianna Lopez) Is FREE!

Attorney Candace N. Robinson and CNR Law are proud to have secured the release of Vivianna Lopez, publicly known as Mia Flores—wife of one of the Flores twins whose cooperation helped take down El Chapo.

Ms. Lopez was eligible for release on 10/30/2024, but the Federal Bureau of Prisons unlawfully refused to release her.

Immediately after learning of this injustice, the Flores family contacted Attorney Robinson, who took swift action to fight for her freedom.

CNR Law:
• Guided Ms. Lopez through the BOP’s administrative remedy process
• Filed a habeas corpus petition under 28 U.S.C. § 2241
• Successfully secured her release under the Second Chance Act

The BOP has a disturbing pattern of holding federal inmates beyond their release dates. We refuse to let bureaucracy bury justice.

This is more than a legal win—it’s a human one.
Justice delayed is justice denied. We made sure she didn’t wait one day longer.
