Kristi Norris died because of greed. Kristi needed around-the-clock care for her intellectual disabilities, and her parents trusted her care to a large company that said Kristi and her parents could trust them.

But, the staff at Kristi's group home was under-trained, under-paid, and over-worked. Instead of providing the minute-to-minute care Kristi needed, the people trusted with caring for Kristi strapped her to a wheelchair where Kristi strangled to death.

Then, those same people lied about what they had done to the police and the Health and Human Services Commission. They staged a fake-accident to cover-up what they had done. All while the company responsible for staffing this group home made millions from people like Kristi and her family.

Now, the Sawicki Law Firm is seeking Justice for Kristi and her parents, so that this never happens to anyone like this ever again.

Sawicki Law is proud of Andy Jones and his work on the State Bard Court Rules Committee!

The Texas Supreme Court will be accepting one of our State Bar Court Rules Committee recommendations! Rule 306a will now allow for electronic service of notice of judgments! This was something that Andy and the committee worked on in 2019 (amending a number of TRCPs to require electronic notice not just first class mail).
