I am a Business Lawyer and Attorney based in Texas, where I have been practicing law for 38 years, primarily as a solo attorney. My practice, Thomas P. Finley, Jr. Attorney at Law, is dedicated to assisting clients with various aspects of business and commercial litigation, reviewing business contracts, and guiding them through the process of starting a new business.

My extensive experience as a business owner provides me with a unique perspective on the challenges and legal issues that businesses encounter. My practice areas include business formation, handling business contracts, overseeing business acquisitions, assisting with the buying and selling of businesses, dealing with commercial real estate, and representing clients in business litigation.

I was in downtown Dallas last week and took this picture. My very first case in Court as a new lawyer was in 1987 at the Old Red Courthouse. It is now a museum.

A Texas business that has assets less than $25 million can be a "Consumer" and therefore be a Plaintiff and pursue a claim under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices act. I can represent small business clients across Texas against big business if necessary.
