"Potentially toxic chemicals have been found in water from wells at least 16 miles from the Chemours plant in Bladen County, with more than 4,660 having at least one of the compounds, state records show."

PFAS chemicals have been found about 16 miles from the Chemours. Residents with the chemicals in their wells are eligible for filters to be installed.
