73 years ago today Passman & Jones, A Professional Corporation was founded by Sam Passman and Shannon Jones, Jr. as a partnership with 25 clients. Both men died within 30 days of one another at the beginning of 2009. Both men had tremendous careers that left a significant impact on the industry and their legacy continues.

Passman & Jones is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate/Transactional Assistant to join our team! Position will require 5 to 10 years' of law firm experience. (Legal Experience is required.) The ideal candidate will possess a strong corporate background; excellent Word abilities and heavily proficient in Styles, Outlook, Excel, and Juris skills. The assistant will support our shareholders in the Corporate Transactional area with the preparation of contracts, executes and maintains all required official corporate filings, documents, reports and records according to applicable laws and regulations and other legal documents. In addition, the Assistant’s responsibilities will include reviewing and proofreading documents to ensure accuracy; the preparing, processing and editing of time entry and billing; and other duties as assigned. Candidates must have 5-10 years of law firm experience; litigation and federal court practice experience is preferable. The candidate should have prior experience with motion practice, discovery dispute, making court appearances, conducting depositions and trial preparation. We are so incredibly proud of the milestones members of our Passman & Jones family achieve and it is without a doubt a very proud moment in the life of our firm, because after 26 years as the voice of Passman & Jones, Georgette McAlister is retiring. Through our tears, we wish the greatest of times and truly the best to come for Georgette! Congratulations!

Yesterday was a momentous occasion for our Passman & Jones family!

Raul Gonzalez, Director of Administration for Passman & Jones, was the recipient of the "Gary Whetzel Heart for the Community Award." This award is given to a public servant, and is elected by the Community leaders for Mansfield. An award honoring those who selflessly serve the community for the betterment of all was given to Mansfield ISD Board Trustee Raul Gonzalez"

“The award was established in 2014 in recognition and celebration of Gary Whetzel, who served the community faithfully for more than 35 years,” said Jerry Ritchie, president of Common Ground Network. “Raul Gonzalez is the perfect choice to receive this award because he embodies all of the characteristics of a servant leader.”
