I was sitting in an internal meeting yesterday and happened to glance over at the Eight Compass Entrepreneurship Principles.

I’ve seen them countless times, but for some reason #8 stopped me: Bounce Back with Passion.

It really resonated with me.

A career in real estate will teach you that things do not always go according to plan. Markets change. Deals fall apart. Opportunities come and go. Sometimes you work incredibly hard and still do not get the outcome you expected.

And life has a way of presenting its own challenges at the same time.

Over the years, I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about pretending those things don’t affect you. It’s about what you choose to do next.

You regroup. You learn. You adjust. And you get back up.
