Sometimes the heaviness of clients' cases lofts a little dark cloud over my head that's hard to shake. Today I decided to take about 15 minutes to walk The Katy Trail to clear the cloud.
Let me tell you how my "mental health break" went: About 100 steps in I saw a friend/colleague biking my way. He stopped and got off his call, I told him why I was there and we spent the next 15 minutes talking about cases and other things. It was not what I'd planned but helpful in its own way.
When we parted I felt sprinkles and thought it'd be better to go back to the car because it'd be far worse to get caught in my suit in a downpour. 😂
It didn't rain but I'm feeling better. Cloud is gone? Probably. But it's still overcast.
