Hello; If you have not been notified that your return that is here in my office was completed, an extension was filed on your behalf before midnight April 15th. I have been on duty 7 days a week since January. I will not be available for a few days to rest and take care of personal, necessary business. You will eventually receive an email, specific to the status of your particular return. Thanks everybody.......

TAX TALK - Now I'm not hating and those of you that know me, know that I'm all about helping and not throwing shade. But y'all, be very careful who you entrust your confidential tax information to. There may be more to it than you think. Check their credentials, be sure they are registered with the IRS as a tax preparer. It's not required, but you might want to be sure you are dealing with someone that has nothing to hide by not registering with IRS to do this job. Protect yourself, no matter what is on that return, IRS is going to come after you for sure.................. I'm just saying.....

TAX TALK - How to retrieve your IP PIN online
You may use your online account to retrieve your current IP PIN. Your IP PIN is available through your “Profile” page. If you don’t already have an account on IRS.gov, you will be asked to create an account and validate your identity.
Note: A minor dependent IP PIN cannot be retrieved online. To retrieve a minor dependent IP PIN call 800-908-4490.

How to get your IP PIN reissued
In the U.S. call 800-908-4490, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time (Alaska and Hawaii follow Pacific Time).
International users call 267-941-1000 (not toll free) between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern time.
Note: If you can verify your identity with a phone assistor, your IP PIN will be mailed within 21 days to the address on file with the IRS.

Your IP PIN cannot be reissued by mail if

You opted into the IP PIN program online after 2019.
It’s after October 14 and you haven’t filed your current or prior year Forms 1040 or 1040-SS.
If your IP PIN cannot be reissued and you cannot create or access an online account, mail a paper tax return without your IP PIN. We’ll review your return to confirm you filed it, but this may delay your refund.

Heartfelt thanks to everybody that stood with our family in prayer over the past couple of weeks, in the passing of my younger sister Renee Viney. It was unexpected to me and we are all attempting to heal from the loss with God's grace. Thank you for understanding my absence. I am now, back on duty trying to catch up on all calls and emails. No judgment, I don't know who needs to hear this, but just know that a hook-up on your taxes can lead to a bill that YOU have to pay for real. You can't fix a hook-up with another hook-up. Stop playing and be honest with somebody if you expect somebody to help you. If you not going to tell me the truth, I don't know how to help you. Don't be fooled by people getting you the hook-up and then playing victim. You knew, stop playing. I'm just saying............

RECOVERY REBATE CREDIT -
Most taxpayers eligible for EIPs have already received their EIP or Recovery Rebate Credit.

December 2024 through January 2025, the IRS issued Recovery Rebate Credits to eligible people who did not claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 tax returns.

No action is needed for eligible taxpayers to receive these payments. The payments will be automatically direct deposited or sent by paper check; eligible taxpayers will also receive a separate letter notifying them of the payment.

TAX TALK - If you and/or your dependent(s) had some kind of benefits through the Marketplace, even if was for 1-month, the information needs to be included with your tax filings or your tax return will be REJECTED. If you did not get the form in the mail or you misplaced it, you need to call 800-318-2596 and ask them for the information for the form 1095A. You are definitely going to need that information to file your taxes this year. Be prepared to write the information down because it has to be included or your tax refund will be delayed.
