I’m grateful to be selected to the 2026 Texas Super Lawyers list for the first time. After nine years of being recognized as a Rising Star, it’s especially meaningful to reach this milestone.

I’m fortunate to do work I care about, alongside great colleagues, and for clients who trust me with some of the most important issues in their lives. I’m very appreciative of the recognition and everyone who has been part of the ride.

I enjoyed teaming up with my colleague, Jenny Gomez, MS, LPC-S, to co-author “Best Interest vs. Zealous Advocacy: Navigating Ethical Tensions in High-Conflict Family Litigation,” recently published in the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes.

We bring our different professional perspectives to a shared question: how can lawyers advocate zealously for their clients without losing sight of the children and families who will live with the consequences long after the case ends?...and let's be honest, Jenny did the heavy lifting here.

I’m honored to be recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for:

Collaborative Law – Family Law
Family Law
Family Law Mediation
Family Law Arbitration

This marks my eighth consecutive year of recognition. Because Best Lawyers recognition is determined through an independent peer-review process, this acknowledgment by fellow attorneys is especially meaningful.

I’m grateful to my colleagues for their confidence, to the entire KoonsFuller team for its support, and to the clients who trust me to help them navigate some of life’s most important and difficult family-law matters.

Family law is rarely one-size-fits-all—and that is especially true when businesses, complex financial issues, and customized parenting arrangements are involved. Fred Adams and I recently sat down with D Magazine to share how we approach these cases at KoonsFuller. Take a look at the full article!

Cases are increasingly involving business interests, digital assets, customized parenting plans and financial issues that require specialized experience like that at KoonsFuller

Thank you to Kris Hayes for inviting me to present at this year's Dallas Family Law Bench Bar (Back to the 80's)! It's a privilege to be able to speak to almost 350 of Dallas' finest lawyers and judges. Congrats to Kris for running such a rad conference! (...I just wish I knew how to find the camera better when speaking 🤦🏻‍♂️)
