Reckless acceleration sends a Dodge Ram spinning sideways completely out of control on the road. The driver mashed the throttle with no regard for traction or safety, losing all control of the vehicle.
This is a textbook case of reckless driving. When a driver accelerates that aggressively and causes their own vehicle to spin, they created the hazard that led to the crash.

The driver who causes a spinout through aggressive acceleration is liable for all damage to other vehicles and injuries that result from their reckless actions.

Officers in Texas are allowed limited actions to keep cover, but they're restricted from actually using or consuming illegal drugs. They can temporarily possess drugs with department approval, but they have strict guidelines they must follow.

They also can't force someone to commit a crime they wouldn't have committed anyway. If an officer goes too far, it damages the case in court.
