This is extremely helpful for those with long term illness, but can be used on a short term basis such as a period of incapacity caused by a car wreck or other accident.

This Saturday the Alzheimer's Association, Dallas is hosting their Annual Black/African American Caregiver Seminar!

There will be a wealth of information, support and a great community for caregivers.

This Black History Month, I am honoring Ms. Charyle O. Farris. Ms. Farris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Prairie View A&M University in 1948 & a Juris Doctor from Howard University in 1953. Ms. Farris became the first African American woman admitted to practice law in the state of Texas being sworn in on November 12,1953.

An amazing accomplishment but one that ideally came with isolation & immense obstacles. Black history to me isn’t just about celebrating the “firsts” but about mentally taking a walk in the shoes of those who endured an uncharted path & finding hope & courage for ourselves.

On this day of love, join me in showing love to African American Women Lawyers in Texas 💕 We've grown well beyond 1, and there is room for many more!
