A new housing development in East San Jose caught my attention, and there are a few reasons I think it’s worth knowing about.
The Kirk at 125 Kirk Avenue will include 18 new duet-style attached single-family homes.
Most will be 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, ranging from approximately 1,481 to 1,909 square feet, with pricing starting around $1.18 million.
Yes, that’s still a significant investment. But for new construction of this size in Silicon Valley, the pricing is noteworthy and could create an interesting option for buyers who need more space.
There are also two 3-bedroom homes expected to be offered for approximately $300,000 to income-qualified households, which is something we simply don’t see very often in our area.
And for some first-time buyers, three homes may also include financing incentives such as a $50,000 credit and interest rates ranging from 3.99% to 6%, depending on qualification and the specific home.
Some homes could be ready as early as October 2026, with the full community currently expected to be completed by February 2027.
I like sharing projects like this because sometimes an opportunity doesn’t fit the traditional picture of what buyers expect to find in Silicon Valley. Knowing what’s being built, what programs are available, and where value may be emerging can open up options people didn’t realize existed.
As always, the details matter. Pricing, availability, incentives, income qualifications and program requirements can change, so buyers should verify the specifics before making any decisions.
