William Gladstone is often credited with the phrase, "Justice delayed is justice denied," Yesterday, the Supreme Court of Virginia entered an order declaring a judicial emergency. With a few exceptions, all civil and criminal cases must be continued. One such exception is "emergency matters," which include arraignments, bail reviews, protective order cases and emergency child custody cases.
